Purpose: Promote membership in BFCA.
Projects:
- Maintain membership records
- Publish annual membership directory
How you can help:
- Ask your neighbors on either side if they are members of BFCA. If not, tell them to just go to joinBFCA.org and join today! Or download a form, give it to them and encourage them to join! Go to the membership section for complete details!
Purpose: Provides information of community interest to all neighbors.
Projects: Our newsletter, Field Notes, is usually published 4 times per year.
How you can help:
- We are looking for someone to coordinate advertising to offset the cost of our newsletter,
- Submit articles for possible inclusion in a newsletter of interest to our neighborhood,
- Help with distribution of the newsletter.
Purpose: Enhancement of neighborhood green space.
Projects:
- Neighborhood clean-up days,
- Development and maintenance of Clack's Corner,
- Help with local school clean-up days,
- Assemble neighborhood work parties to address specific jobs as needed.
How you can help:
- Get involved and volunteer.
Purpose: Maintain neighborhood safety.
Projects:
- Sponsor the BFCA Dekalb County Neighborhood Watch program.
How you can help:
- Be a Block Captain,
- Join the Neighborhood Watch.
Purpose: To develop a neighborhood that works and plays together with the goal of developing a sense of place and community.
Projects: The committee meets several times a year. Members select a project they will manage. All committee members support each sponsor. This allows the responsibility to be spread across the group. See the current calendar for a list of scheduled events.

How you can help:
- Start a babysitting co-op
Purpose: Provides a way to share information with your neighbors quickly.
How it works:
- All members who provide an email address on their membership form are sent an “Invitation” to join the Yahoo Groups list serve for BFCA.
- By following the activation instructions,members can belong to a group that is limited only to BFCA members.
- Members can post messages to all by addressing the message to bfca@yahoogroups.com and sending it from the email address they activated with yahoo.
- Messages are not moderated, so please keep messages on topics of interest to your neighbors.
- Once you are activated, you can go to our site at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BFCA/ and search old message traffic.
- Your full email address is not posted at the site, but your email address will be shown in any emails to send to the group.
Purpose: Provides the neighborhood with this WEB site.
Projects: Maintains WEB site.

- Provide feedback on the current content of the web site.
Purpose: Welcome our new neighbors.
Projects:
- Make and deliver Welcome Kits.
How you can help:
- Gather information and coupons from local businesses to include in Welcome Kits,
- Help assemble Welcome Kits (Copy of recent newsletter, BFCA directory, local restaurant menus, coupons).
Purpose: Keep us aware of zoning issues that may affect our neighborhood.
Projects:
- Attend zoning meetings,
- Report zoning issues to members.
